This beautiful contemporary home was located on a green and peaceful environment in Middlebury, Vermont. This contemporary home named McLeod Residence because of the project comes from John McLeod Architects and was also adapted to the topography, climate and society. This contemporary home using area of 1500 square feet, its look likes a fortress on a forest of trees. As the architects says, this contemporary home plans made a home inserted into the thicket of trees on the banks of which are local to preserve a modest single story in the west end facing the street, in keeping with the scale of the neighborhood.

The home designs made this home like a fortress, built with stone brick on exterior and surrounded by forest of trees. Bright and airy interior seems to contrast the fortress design of this home. Fireplace makes an enjoyable place its perfect for cozy gatherings. The result of sloped roof exposed back to the road is covered with haybales from a nearby farmer’s field. The floras grow out of the hay mulch, a living roof which useful for absorbs rainwater, and gives the neighbors both the human variety and the critters in the nature preserve. Trying to understand what our earth wants can reduce hurting this earth.
