This small home originally was build in 1939 and now renovated by David Jameson Architect Inc into a contemporary modern small home named Calem-Rubin Residence. The small home was renovated from colonial style home design with brick into a contemporary modern small home for single family. Built on 4,700 square feet, Calem-Rubin residence located on Bethesda, Maryland and covers that small spaces. The client of this home plans wanted a composition of modern form and timeless material and the small home plans was apply by the architect.

Equipped by a kitchen,music room and dining room on the north side, the abode also volunteers entertaining spaces like the double-height living room, a library and an outdoor room on the south side. A set of steps extending up to the second story overlooks the living room. Relaxation spaces and a beautiful panorama of the surroundings can be enjoyed at the third and final floor.
As a reinvention of the being massing, one dimensional stucco walls conceptually enclose and protect a rock marquee sneaked in within. Expansive woodworking planes of glassing over connexion the concealment walls to the gist volume while creating a filter between the inside and the landscape. The distillment of forms and textures – the stuccoed privateness walls, the mahogany tree brise-soleil, and the rock clothed core volume – slide by each other to create an abstract piece of music and a reflexion of the internal divisions of public and private quads.
